Mabber gesucht!.
Viel Spass beim Suchen, es gibt auch etwas zu gewinnen!
Was ein Mabber ist, erklären wir hier auch gerne noch einmal.
Mabber Billboard Campaign.
Today a nationwide billboard campaign for mabber started in Germany. We are pretty excited to see mabber out in the streets.
Experiencing problems. Our hosting center is currently suffering a blackout. While we're working on the problems and hope to resolve them in the next moments, we also have to ask for your understanding. We'll be back any moment.
Up again. Thanks for the patience.
Announcing ChatBot and the mabber svn repository. As we have said before:
We have built mabber out of Open Source and Free Software components and we strongly believe in the principle of giving back to community and thus making both mabber and the world in general a better place :-)
So here's another piece of open source goodness for you: ChatBot, your friendly channel management bot, which we use inhouse for development conferences. We at mabber sponsored the further development of this piece of code and will take over the lead now in further advancing the software. If you want to know the whole story, read it in the blog of one of our developers.
Starting with ChatBot, we also open our svn repository for bits and pieces of opensource mabber software at http://code.mabber.com/
Enjoy!
mabber Groupchat on the Facebook Platform. Facebook is a leading social software platform that recently announced deep integration of third-party applications on the social network itself. Sounds too geeky? Let us give you an example: How about adding mabber groupchat conferences to all the Facebook groups for chatting it up with your friends and contacts in that group? Having regular, real-time online meetings with like-minded people on Facebook, to discuss upcoming events in that group or for some virtual coffee klatsch? Just add the mabber application!

All you need is a Facebook account and a group on Facebook that would profit from a groupchat. If you can't find anything better, of course you're free to join the mabber group on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2744955015
To add the mabber application, login and add it here: http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=2359314654
Oh, and please tell others in your groups to add the application as well. After all, chatting in a group is more fun with lots of people.
The mabber groupchat on Facebook is free of charge and here for you to use. Currently the application is in the process of being added to the official directory of Facebook apps, but readers of this blog can get it now before it goes prime time on the Facebook platform.
Have fun!
The mabber Widget as a Wordpress Plugin. Wordpress is a wildly successful "personal publishing system" or rather, as normal people would probably call it, a fine piece of weblog software.
If you use Wordpress 2.2 or newer (version 2.0 will also work, although you'll miss out some of the niftyness), we have a goody for you: Thanks to the architecture for plugins in Wordpress, you can include the mabber Widget as a Wordpress plugin on your blog! After the download and a few clicks inside Wordpress, visitors to your page can leave a mabber message to your address and directly chat with you on your own weblog.
Get the plugin here. Of course, as usual, it's free for you to use and download.
mabber is experiencing problems. Currently, mabber is experiencing connectivity problems. We're working hard to solve them and hope to have them nailed down quickly. In the meantime: Thanks for your understanding.
Problems resolved. It took us much longer than we thought, but mabber is up and running. While we were at it, we also installed some updates for the transports into networks like AIM, MSN, ICQ and Yahoo!.
Thank you very much for your patience, it's appreciated.
